What is the range of Chirp?

The general rule is if a human can hear it, the decoder will too.

The reliability of the sending range is somewhat dependent on the amount of data you're willing to send, so if you want to get 1Kbps, the distance between devices will have to be small - alternatively, if you want the Chirp to work over 60m, which Chirp can do, the packet size will be smaller.

In our tests, an iPhone at max volume, using our standard audible protocol, will have a 99% success rate over distances of 5m in most conditions.

We have a performance report - compiled by the University of Salford that we will send on request.
