Why would you use Sound instead of Bluetooth or Wi-Fi?

There are lots of reasons why sound is a powerful and convenient communications medium: it doesn't require pairing or exchanging passwords, it can be received by many nearby devices simultaneously, and it is supported by countless low-tech devices.


In addition, Chirp technology allows the exchange of data in situations where it is neither possible nor desirable to use existing networking technologies due to prohibitive costs or restrictions on the use of Radio Frequency (RF) networking technologies, such as in nuclear or medical facilities and other safety-critical environments.
